This Privacy Policy explains how Captionify ("the App") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a secure experience when using our App.

1. What We Collect

Video Processing data: Videos you import into Captionify are processed locally to extract audio and generate subtitles.

Audio snippets are processed securely via our transcription provider (ElevenLabs) to convert speech to text.

Subtitles can optionally be cleaned and formatted using OpenAI.

Diagnostics: We collect anonymous app usage diagnostics and crash logs to improve app performance and stability. This diagnostics data does not contain any personally-identifying information.

2. What We Store

No Cloud Accounts: We do not collect or store any personal account data, emails, names, or profiles on our servers.

Local Storage: Your imported videos, audio tracks, and subtitle edits are stored strictly on your local device. We do not upload or store your video files on any cloud servers unless you explicitly export the final video.

3. Third-Party Services

To provide audio transcription and billing features, we integrate with the following third-party service providers:

Google Play Billing (for managing subscription purchases)

ElevenLabs (for speech-to-text processing)

OpenAI (for optional text formatting and cleanup)

Please refer to the respective privacy policies of these third parties for more information on how they handle data.

4. Your Rights

Because we do not collect or store personal account details on our servers, you retain full ownership and control of your local content.

To manage or cancel your subscription, you can do so directly from your subscription management settings in the Google Play Store.

5. Children's Privacy

Captionify is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with any data, please contact us at
